Scott F. Crockatt

Along with Michael Begg, Scott co-founded APEX Investment Management in Uxbridge in 2003. Scott began his business career in Toronto in 1975, working in purchasing and materials procurement in the manufacturing sector for twenty years, and serving as an Office Manager.

Scott started in the financial planning business in1998, when he started with Investors Group after taking the Canadian Securities Course (CSC). Scott also earned his Life Insurance license in 1998, adding life, disability, and critical illness insurance capabilities. In 2001, Scott achieved his Certified Financial Planner designation (CFP). In 2011, Scott also successfully completed the Ontario Mortgage Agent course, and was licensed through the Mortgage Domain, a division of Dominion Lending Centre.

Scott and his wife Deborah moved to Uxbridge in 1984 along with their two children, where they were active in a number of community groups and activities. They became proud grandparents in 2011 and are actively involved in their grandchildren’s lives. They currently reside on Wood Lake in Muskoka but retain deep roots in Uxbridge and a great sense of pride in the community where they raised their family.

Along with Scott Crockatt, Michael co-founded APEX Investment Management in Uxbridge in 2003. He has been in the financial planning business since 1998, when he began his career with Investors Group.

Michael earned his Life Insurance license in 1998, adding life, disability, and critical illness insurance capabilities. In 2001, he achieved his Certified Financial Planner designation (CFP). He later completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), and achieved his Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation, while also attaining a certificate in advanced investment advice. In 2011, Michael also successfully completed the Ontario Mortgage Agent course, and is licensed through the Mortgage Domain, a division of Dominion Lending Centre.

Michael P.W. Begg is registered to provide investment advice and to offer securities products in the province(s) of Ontario, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland.

Michael and his wife Nichole reside in Uxbridge, where they are raising their three young sons and are active in the community. Michael is a hockey and baseball coach, acting Conservation Director and Youth Director of the Uxbridge Bassmasters, and is a volunteer with both the Huck Finn and Catch a Dream fishing derbies.
